The Risk and Compliance areas at Crescera Capital are independent from the operational and management areas, reporting directly to its Executive Committee, which is responsible for defining the policies, controls, and guidelines to be followed by the company’s professionals.
The Governance, Risk, Ethics, and Sustainability Committee – CGRES – is composed of the area’s Executive Board, two members of the management team (one of them Crescera’s Operating Partner and the other a senior partner and member of Crescera’s Executive Committee), and the Legal & Compliance and Risk teams. This Committee meets at least quarterly, or whenever necessary, upon request from any of its members, and must always include the presence of the Risk and Compliance Executive Board (or a substitute representing one of these areas).
The Risk and Compliance areas actively participate in the entire investment process of a company, from origination to divestment, ensuring that portfolio companies uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
One of the main missions of the Risk and Compliance areas is to promote an organizational culture based on strict governance principles, demonstrating and emphasizing the importance of internal controls with the objective of preventing activities and behaviors that could potentially create risks to the institution, clients, and partners.
At Crescera, we value ethical professionals, compliance with applicable laws, respect for our clients, our team, the environment, and all those involved in building our business. Here, professional relationships are based on respect for differences, fair and equal treatment. We do not tolerate any kind of irregularity or fraudulent act, and we expect our team to always act with honesty, transparency, respect, and integrity, contributing to sustainable growth.
We are aligned with and signatories of processes aimed at implementing the best practices in corporate governance and socio-environmental investment policies.
