Crescera Capital’s Risk and Compliance Area is independent from the operational and management areas, reporting directly to its Executive Committee, which is the body responsible for defining the policies, controls and guidelines to be followed by the firm’s professionals.
The Risk and Compliance Committee is composed of the area’s Executive Board, a director representing the management areas and the members of the Risk and / or Compliance team, depending on the Committee’s agenda. This Committee meets, at least, semiannually, or whenever necessary upon the call of any of its members, including always the Risk and Compliance Officer (or his substitute representing one of these areas).
The Risk and Compliance area actively participates in the entire investment process of an investee company, ranging from origination to divestment, in order to ensure that the invested companies have the highest ethical and integrity standards.
One of the main missions of the Risk and Compliance area is the promotion of an organizational culture with strict governance principles, which demonstrates and emphasizes the importance of internal controls in order to prevent activities and conduct that may eventually cause risks to the institution, clients and partners.
